Yes, most use the same style hub. The variance is in the depth of the shroud. There is a kit available for deeper/taller shrouds.

@@ericodeychuk8106 Yes it pulls harder. There is more head pressure. It is recommended to move faster. There is an adjustment for head pressure on the back near the handle. It has three different settings.

How often do you need to change the sand pad in like average size room. Does one pad do a room or more per grit? Ive never used one just know average sand paper a sheet loses it effectiveness somewhat fast.

The operator manual advises to take the machine to an American Sanders Service Center. Anything electrical should only be worked on by authorized personnel.

I got a question about DC voltage with the American B2 edger. Back in the day when there was no power running to houses during construction my dad told me that they used to run the all the machines on a power plant that only produced DC power. In talking to him he said the brush is used to last longer on the edger and the big machine. My question is how many DC volts can you put to a b-2 edger?
Do not exceed the recommended volts in the operator manual. In the US, the max is 115V. In the UK or Australia, the max is 230V.

Do not scrape the nails, it will chip your blade. Set the nails, then scrape. Fill nail holes with wood filler.

A painted floor MUST be tested for lead paint BEFORE any sanding can take place. Please research how to test for lead paint.

I just pulled up the carpet and just want to remove glue and residue off the floor. Would this work for this with 120 grit? Dont want to refinish yet, just clean it up until i do.
OBS-18 will not work. You should look into a non-toxic water-based product to remove the glue and refresh the floors.

Will this sand out 100 grit drum sander chatter marks
If there is light chatter, the EZ Sand will work but it will take a lot of time. The EZ Sand is a light weight machine. For heavy chatter, an Epoch or Epoch HD will work better.

I have a 1,150 sq. ft room with a 12 year old Bona finish. Only 200 sq. ft show any wear. Is it ok to sand down where needed and reapply the Bona Mega one (Satin). I really don't want to refinish entire area. My understanding is that the Mega One is not yellowing vs. the Mega which is not. Flooring is unstained natural 5 1/2" Ash. Thanks for you tutorial.
Hello Bart. Trying to refinish just a portion of the floor will require you to blend the new sanding scratch pattern and the new finish with the old. Professional wood floor contractors will not do this on anything but a freshly sanded and finished floor that might need a repair. It will be impossible to match the new to old finish, even a 'non-yellowing' finish. The only recommendation is to sand and refinish the entire floor. I know it's not what you're hoping, but you will be happiest in the end doing it correctly. When you do sand and refinish, I suggest you try the American Sanders TimberGuard Select water-based wood floor finish. Nice video, That roller assembly looks identical to my Lagler Hummel, ALSO I CANT SEE WHY CLARKE and LAGLER belt sanders can't also be used AS DRUM SANDERS , for emergencies or top roller problems, I think the GALAXY belt sanders can do both. PeaceFromOz😊

I wonder if oxadelic acid can remove the urine stains? The end result might end up looking brighter than the surrounding wood, but it can be toned back to match.
I had a second floor landing that I did last year that had several large and some smaller animal urine stains. Hydrogen peroxide (a couple of applications on the darker ones) did the trick. With careful application they all totally disappeared.

So what if the top roller does have some debris/adhesive on it? What’s the best way to clean it? Scrape/ pick it off, sand it off, or use a cleaner ?
Mineral spirits will soften the finish or adhesive, then it can be removed with a sponge. If there is grit imbedded in it can be lightly scraped taking care to not score the surface.
What’s the best approach if one of the nuts is stripped and Allen key can not remove it ?
